2016-17 CUP

As played last year, there will be a knock out FMICL Cup side competition, but this year it will be run a little differently.
With 26 players, we need to boil those down to 16.
So I have split 25 players into 5 pools of 5.

Pool play will be set up as each player playing the others per group once. From those 4 games (spread over 5 weeks), the top 3 from each pool (total of 15) progresses to the round of 16 where knock-out play begins.

The pools are
POOL APOOL B
@Sjhross@Amul82@Harri_Chas_17@J_Foreigner
@CapitalCityCody@kosifantutti@Andrewm_81@Smithj_43
@cmrnmnning@LaurenceRosen
POOL CPOOL D
@NaylorMichael@DemP_9@Footy_Maths@BenCuzzupe
@Hardsy05@NickTheStatsGuy@TheTipsGuru@melatonii
@Lucrious@RudiEdsall
POOL E
@Ethan_Meldrum@Supermercado99
@MattGoss_@BrotherAmos
@GlennValencich

Joining the best three from each group (total of 15) will be the seeded Cup winner from 2015-16,

As per last year, the Cup will be run by tipping the margin of each game. So if you want to tip:
A home win by 1 goal (1-0, 2-1 etc), then you enter '1'.
An away win by 2 goals (0-2, 2-4 etc), then you enter '-2'.
A draw is selected by entering '0'.

You only have 5 games to choose from in the cup games - easy stuff.

Its a simple system that doesnt produce very many draws, because you get a point for a correct tip (H, D or A) and a bonus point if you hit the margin exact. Further, if players are tied, then its total difference between tipped margins and actual - lower total wins.
If still tied, we have more than enough weeks between Cup weeks to play a replay.
